The Sunset Poncho was released in March as part of the Yarnish Makes kit and pattern collection. Shelby is modelling the poncho just as the shadows are starting to get long and the sun sets on the Yarnish grounds.

Designed specifically to be used with Papatya Cake yarn, I wanted to come up with a different way of using the colour changes, and found working two cakes to create stripes to be very rewarding.

Sunset poncho was named after the colours in a streaky sunset, using cake coloue #201 (Cupcake) and also as it is a perfect item to throw on once the sunsets and the weather cools down.

However, there are some alternative colours that would suit the poncho well.

Peach Melba

Blue Velvet

If you would like to chose a wool/acrylic blend, the Papatya Wool cakes are also perfect. Same weight and metreage as the acrylic cakes, but with 20% merino wool.
