Hello Yarnies! <3

If they taught amigurumi in high-school, I never would have missed a class! Even if those classes were on a Saturday!

Last weekend we saw some very keen students enrolling in Ms Emma's Amigurumi class. There were no exams, boring tutorials, or copious amounts of reading - just good ol' fashioned fun! How school should be ≧◡≦

I'm totally biased but amigurumi making is one of the most enjoyable forms of crochet! I just love seeing little characters come to life before my eyes! Still, amigurumi making can be a bit tricky. Having someone with you to help you along the way can be absolutely invaluable, especially when you need to think 'three-dimensionally'. And the 'Intro to Ami' class assists you with just that!

Ms Emma's Amigurumi Class is all about these lovely loveys, Lambie and Llamie (designed by Ms Emma herself!). Throughout this class, students learned all the fundamentals of amigurumi making and more.

This is Miss Llamie - The perfect Llama lovey, pretty in pink!

Meet Master Lambie. Totally handsome and regal in blue!

Here are some fun pics from the day!

Lots of smiling faces! (●´ω`●)

Hands at work!

Ms Emma's students had an absolute ball and they had some really lovely things to say:

Anthea R. - 5/5 stars

"So much fun and learned lots! This class was awesome. Emma was very patient and the class was very relaxed. I learned a lot of new techniques and tricks which I have gone on to use in other projects. The yarn was wonderful work with. I would recommend it to anyone from beginner to someone advanced who wants a fun few hours!"

Cheryl J. - 5/5 stars

"Excellent day, had a good time and learned a lot. Thanks Emma, you are a great teacher."
Amazing Llamies and Lambies made by our talented community!

Bec Walsh - Her adorable creation watching our WITB Live Stream

Paula Jane - a beautiful variation!

Lorena Sanabria - and her pretty little Llamie!

If you're local and would love to learn something new, I would 100% recommend enrolling in our next session. Stay tuned for more details (or keep watch of our Yarnish Calendar!)

However, if you're not able to take a class but would like to make a lovely or two, kits are available for Miss Llamie and Master Lambie. The loveys are made from Scheepjes Stonewashed Yarn - which creates an unbelievably soft comforter perfect for a newborn.

I hope you enjoyed this 'classy' blog post! hehehe

Happy Yarning!

Reneé
