It's not easy being Green

Posted by Emma Wilkinson on

As 'Yellow' finishes on the 7th of July, we get ready to begin the green portion of the rainbow challenge on the 8th.

Green will run from the 8th of July to the 4th of August.

First up - Chunky Monkey! This one just sneaks in as it is only available as a pre order at time write this post. Colour Fern is shown, and I can't wait to see what you all make with it!

I had some fun this week, picking out some green selections. Above you can see Bernat Softee Baby Cotton in granny smith (lime) and jade frost. A lovely soft 8 ply cotton acrylic blend. Coboo in grass green is also a great choice for the challenge. Coboo is a cotton Bamboo blend, and makes gorgeous garments - and is also a 8 ply. Both yarns suit 4 mm needles or hooks. Also included are the Tacony butterfly yarn threaders

One of our best sellers is Papatya Batik! We have a few green options, which include 554-16, 554-17, and 554-03. We have several one ball projects that suit Papatya, but I can reveal we will have a brand new pattern out in time for Green month!

We are spoiled for choice with green whirl and whirlette options which include green tea tipple, sea breeze tease, pistachio oh so nice, peppermint patty cake, minty black velvet, key lime pie, mint, kiwi and avocado, and not forgetting the ombre whirls - sippy sage (pictured), murderous mint, and jade jim jam.

Another new to us yarn is Ella Rae cozy alpaca in avocado - a worsted weight alpaca and acrylic blend - perfect for cozy winter woollies!

And finally - a four leaf clover to wish you luck on the challenge!
