As a prelude to the next #yarnishmakes pattern from our newest design team member, we bring you the Peek-A-Koo Infinity Scarf by Tegan Howes. Made from one ball of Red Heart - Roll With It - Tweed, this is a super quick and affordable project suitable for all skill levels.

This cosy infinity scarf will keep you warm through the coldest winter days.

The story behind the name:

"My daughter was playing with this scarf as I was working it up, she would peek through the open space and say “Can you see me mummy?”. One of her MANY nicknames is Koo and so Peek-A-Koo seemed to suit this pattern perfectly."

Materials:

  • 1 ball of Red Heart - Roll With It - Tweed (Stormy Blues pictured)
  • 6mm hook
  • darning needle

Instructions:

This pattern uses US Terminology.

Row 1: Chain 26, dc in the 4th ch from the hook, dc in each chain along. (alternatively, you can make a foundation chain of 23 dc)

Row 2: Ch3, dc in next st, *ch3, sk1 dc, dc in the next 2 st*.

Row 3: Ch3, dc in next st, *sc in ch3 sp, dc in next 2 st*.

Row 4: Ch3, dc in next st, *dc in sc, dc in next 2 st*.

Repeat Rows 2 – 4 until desired length is achieved.

Fasten off and use the remaining yarn to sew ends together. My preferred method is an invisible seam.

The pattern is also available online now as a PDF download - this includes written instructions,  plus an easy to follow chart.
