Hello, Yarnies!

It's official... Yarnish has left the nest!

Coming into this world only three years ago, Nicole's little baby is all grown up and is finally moving out.

Here is Pat, packing the truck.

As I said in a previous post:

"Yarnish was born from humble beginnings. In 2014, Nicole started to crochet for charity. She then quickly realized how tough it was to find yarn in Australia. The lack of availability of high-quality, beautiful yarn was incredibly frustrating for Nicole. Over a few years, she often spoke about starting up an online yarn store but in 2016 she finally took the plunge!"

What started as an itty bitty business on the side (i.e. Nicole's dining room), soon became a booming yarn-filled adventure which is now evolving into a shopfront!

For the past few weeks, Nicole has been packing up her entire online store (and residential property too!) and transitioning it into an amazing retail space in the region of Penrith. Yarnish will still operate online, but the shopfront provides more opportunity for her to extend her business creativity and offer more yarny services *cough* classes *cough*

There's no denying it, it is strange seeing the shelves so bare and the garage completely empty!

It feels like yesterday that i first stepped into that beautiful Mulgoan property - which housed Yarnish HQ for a substantial amount of time! I know there are many of us (Nicole and Shelby included) who fell in love with the rural vibe of Yarnish. It's going to be a huge shift, physically, emotionally and spiritually, but it will be worth it in the end!

When I spoke to Nicole about what she will miss the most about Mulgoa, she replied 'the Kangaroos'. It is sad leaving our hoppy babies behind but, when life presents us with an amazing opportunity, we must go with it!

I know Nicole and Shelby are sooooo looking forward to share their new Yarnish HQ with you! And now, more than ever, there are more opportunities for you to visit. Previously open days were once, maybe twice, a week.... However, a retail space = open for retail!!! Yarnish will now be open for 5 days of the week, but this will all be confirmed soon ;)

The sun is only beginning to rise for Nicole and and we cannot wait to see what the future will hold for her business. We will miss Mulgoan Yarnish, but there's no denying it, the future is looking bright!

See you on the other side!

Renee
