Hello Yarnies! <3

Here's a fun, but the incredibly scary fact (that really shouldn't be said aloud, but I just can not help myself)....there are only 15 weeks until Christmas....

Now that's out of the way, how quickly did last week go!! Time sure does fly by when your road-tripping to Tamworth!

Before we jump into WITB run-down...

Here are the highlights from the last week.

Worthy to be Tamworthian

This week Nicole and Shelby packed up the Yarnish shop and set off into the wild blue yonder! I think we are extremely lucky that they actually came home. It seems like they had an absolute ball and I honestly didn't think they would leave! Not only did they enjoy three jam-packed days of CraftAlive but they also enjoyed a beautiful morning tea with the gorgeous #YarniesofTamworth <3

My lil' ol' Tamworth blog post is on its way so watch this space!

The BotaniCAL is going super strong!

Our Yarnish community page is bursting at the seams with the most beautiful flowers. It's hard not to be happy when you wake up in the morning and see all the floral goodness almost literally pouring from your phone/tablet/computer!

This set of gorgeous perennials are made by Elizabeth Barlow. We are obsessed with her perfect crochet!!

It's not too late to join in! Kits and the pattern are available here

I'll also be writing weekly blog posts showcasing all the amazing BotaniCAL makes! You can see Part 1 here

Purple Month #Yarnish Rainbow Challenge

We have hit the midway point for Purple Month! If you haven't entered already, there is still time. Entry closes on the 22nd of September.

If you're looking for inspo, check out Jade Asli Muyan‎ 's gorgeous purple creation He is purple and he looks like he has an appetite for people! (✿ ♥‿♥)

Now let's dive in!

This week is brought to you by the letter 'S'. S is for sleep, sheep and 'Shelby's Stunning Shrug!'

This evening we were graced with not one but two amazing souls.

Shelby was wearing a beautiful shrug made by her Nana, Christine Andison using the Papatya Batik 554-29.

Nicole was dressed in her beautiful 'This is me' Shawl made from her Nicole Lola.

This pic is a bit blurry as its a screen-grab, but you get the idea of how beautiful they are!

First things first...

Nicole says "Thank you Tamworth!"

"The ‘blood, sweat and tears’ was totally worth it - Shelby & I were blown away with the tremendous reception we received from our lovely yarnies. It would have to be the best show we have had so far!

The Tamworth After Party was held at The Garden Shed in Tamworth - what a welcoming venue, and they had AMAZING coffee! It was nice to sit down in a relaxed environment and have a chitter chat about all things yarn. The location also gave Shelby the opportunity to take some fabulous photos of the groups WIPS".

Sister Sledge were on to something...

If you have some time, go watch the small little snippet of Nicole speaking about her Yarnish Family (timestamp is 3:50mins). It's so moving and I think she speaks to how so many feel about our community. It's hard for me to write it up here because Nicole says it soooo perfectly, it would be impossible for me to do it justice.

We are all family. No truer words have been spoken, Nicole!

Fruit Cup Fade

Emma's Fruit Cup Fade Blanket made its debut at the show. Lots of kits and patterns were sold. Shelby is applying the finishing touches to the pattern so it should be available soon.

The yarn used for this gorgeous fruit salad is Cicibebe Sprinkles

On the way home from Tamworth

Nicole and Shelby traveled an additional 1.5 hours to the Nundle Woollen Mills to visit Kylie & Nick, who we met last year at the Craft & Quilt Show.

Stay tuned for a special blog post dedicated to all the Nundle goodness!

This brings us to...

Our new arrivals!

Nundle Collection - We are now stocking Nundle Woollen Mill Yarn which is super duper exciting!

They are all 50g balls and are $8.50 each. 100% Australian Merino Wool. Non-scratchy, incredibly soft. You won't find any knots in their balls due to their incredible making process. Currently, there are 12 colours available at Yarnish but there are a whopping 40 in the range!

Available in:

Chaffey 4ply, Chaffey 8ply, Chaffey 12ply

20 ply (200g, $19.50) and 72 ply (300g, $39.50) is also a thing at Nundle! It was absolutely glorious to see such bulky yarn! We will stock these in the future if there is interest.

Also available:

Feltable Wool - 8ply 50g balls $8.50 (cute little lambs were made with this gorgeous feltable yarn! Kits will be coming your way next year).

KFI Indulgence mini - $60, 4 skeins, 50g each this includes a free knitting pattern. Beautiful handpainted yarn in gorgeous purple and green tones.

Arrow Hat Kit - $49. Beautiful super soft cloud yarn includes the pattern which is laminated.
Monochrome Plaid Scarf Kit - $70, includes the yarn and pattern.

Stock from the show will be processed back online over the next few days - Whirls & Lolas, in particular, are low online. We may have some kits left from the show to go up.

We will also endeavor to return all emails/messages that have been unattended in the past few days. Not enough hours in the day!

Rozeta CAL pre-orders are still open. They will ship from overseas starting 17th September, so we hope to have them out by the end of the month. A few people wanted to upgrade (or downgrade) their pre-order, from Luxury to.... Economy(?) and vise versa. That's OK but please send us an email!

A quick word about Nicole's son, Flynn!

Flynn had an interview as he is hoping to change schools next year. Good luck Flynn and we hope to get in!

And that's it!

Happy yarning!

Reneé
